When is the RSVP deadline?
We kindly ask that you RSVP online by Friday, August 22.
The invitation is only addressed to me. Does the invite include my spouse, partner, or kids too?
Yes! When you search your name on the RSVP tab, the names of the rest of your party—such as your spouse, partner, or children—will appear automatically.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited venue capacity and budget, we kindly ask that only guests listed on the invitation or in your RSVP group attend. We’re so grateful for your understanding!
What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is cocktail attire.
For women: A summer dress (knee-length, midi, or maxi), a chic jumpsuit, or dressy separates are perfect! Feel free to play with floral prints and fun summer colors—the bride loves color. We recommend skipping stiletto heels, as the ceremony and cocktail hour will take place on grass. Block heels, wedges, or dressy flats/sandals are ideal.
For men: Lightweight suits or dress pants with a crisp button-down shirt work great. Ties are totally optional—but if you're feeling bold, a fun one is always welcome!
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
We kindly ask that guests arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony start time, which is 4:30 PM. This gives you plenty of time to park, find a seat, and settle in before the festivities begin.
Is parking available at the venue?
Yes! There is a large grass parking lot with ample space, and there will be parking attendants to direct you upon arrival.
Are the ceremony and reception in the same place?
Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place on The Ivy Place property. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the grass lawn, and the reception will follow in a permanent tent with concrete flooring.
What type of food will be served for dinner?
We will be serving a variety of freshly prepared options at our pizza, taco, and salad stations. When you RSVP, please let us know of any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
Will there be an open bar?
We will have an open bar featuring beer, wine, and seltzers, along with non-alcoholic options including soda, Red Bull, water, and tea.
Where should I stay?
We recommend that our out-of-town guests stay in Ballantyne, Indian Land, or Fort Mill—all of which offer a great selection of hotels, restaurants, and amenities to make your stay comfortable and convenient. You’re also more than welcome to stay closer to Uptown Charlotte for more options. For those wanting a more local, charming experience, Dilworth is another lovely option. The bride used to live there and absolutely adores the neighborhood!
Where should I fly into?
The nearest option is Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). Another option is Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) in Columbia, SC, located about 77 miles south of Van Wyck.
